La France n’est plus souveraine sur son propre territoire : la loi du plus fort règne dans certains quartiers, les policiers ne peuvent endiguer la hausse des violences en raison d’une politique pénale déficiente, les forces de l’ordre n’ont pas les moyens de lutter contre la radicalisation sur internet. Tel un aveu d’échec, la légalisation des drogues serait, pour certains, la seule voie pour réduire la criminalité dans les banlieues.
Les Français sont aussi exaspérés par la montée des violences à l’encontre de leur police; les images de tirs de mortier artisanal contre les commissariats font désormais partie du quotidien. Toute tentative de réaction est perçue comme un «virage sécuritaire et autoritaire». Brisons l’omerta, assumons la reconquête républicaine des cités, protégeons les Français, marquons la reconnaissance de la nation à ses forces de l’ordre : l’heure d’une véritable politique de sécurité a sonné.
